HMS/m Dreadnought Association Reunion 2011. 

The committee have now decided on a venue for the 2011 Reunion. Many of the larger hotels are now booked up for the months of May and June 2011 and the only decent one we have been able to find is the one described below.

The Association Members preferred month appears to be May, we have found one Hotel in Bosworth in the centre of the country, the Hotel of which further details can be found by clicking on  the website( www.britanniahotels.com/hotels/Bosworth) which has a vacancy for the weekend 6th to the 8th of May, which we have now booked.

The Bosworth Hotel is of a much higher standard than the Allesley Hotel which we used at the last reunion, the rooms are of a very high standard and among the facilities offered are an indoor heated swimming pool and  Gym. We have managed to negotiate that no extra will be payable for booking a single room.  With the much higher standard comes a much higher price than we paid at the Allesley. The reunion is also open to families and friends, so please ask them if they would like to join us in what is a really first class hotel and one that for a change does not overcharge for beer and spirits.
 
Please note that the Hotel requires us to pay a booking fee up front of £20 per person. We are required to pay the full amount within 1 month from now in order to secure the booking.

Because of this we would ask you to make your booking as soon as possible (PLEASE DO NOT BOOK DIRECT WITH THE HOTEL)   Bookings should include a cheque to the value of £20 per person and should be sent as soon as possible to Peter Ford, 7 Van Diemens Pass, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 7QD . The deposit paid wil be deducted from your final hotel bill. You can also pay if you wish by direct bank transfer into the Associations Bank account, The account name is HMS Dreadnought, the Sort Code is 72-00-03 and the account Number is 30704508, please note that if you choose to use this method of payment YOU MUST ADVISE US BY EMAIL THAT YOU HAVE DONE SO IN ORDER THAT WE  CAN KEEP CHECK.

 
The rates quoted are as follows:-

Rates: Dinner, Bed & Breakfast

1 night stay   - £70.00 per person

2 nights stay - £130.00 per person

3 nights stay - £145.00 per person

 

Includes: Gala Dinner on the Saturday night
Full English Breakfast for the 3 nights
and 2 Full Carvery dinners for the Friday and Sunday nights in Jenny's Carvery Restaurant.

Bar prices;  Happy Hour prices will last all weekend at £1.50 per pint or glass of wine and house spirits.

Please note that if you wish to sit with any particular person you can if you wish advise us of who you wish to sit beside, and as we did at the last reunion we will try to accomdate your wishes, please note the maximum table size is 12

Many of our members do not have email addresses and will therfore be unaware of the reunion, we would encourage you to speak to any ex Dreadnought friends you may have and ask them to come along.
