Comment: I just wish to pay tribute to Dreadnought, a fine ship, which I had the pleasure of touring way back in the late 60s. We were a ships company of Sea Cadets and were warmly received by all and looked after very well. Splice the mainbrace.

Comment: Hello Evryone Anyone remember "Pinky" the PO Cook after Jan's whites were washed with a red towel!! Oh, and scraping the bottom of the hull with Com.Clyde and FOSM on board. Remember stealing a bit of the matting from the W/T shack for a pipe bracket. Dogs loved me for that. "F--in' Tiffies(spit!!). Changed a feed pump one night in S/Africa with Greg Peck, who I last heard was the Engineer at Vale of Leven Hospital. Could go on (as you do!!) Cheers for now geoff

Comment: Followed the link from my old boat, Spartan, but as an eight year old, I spent my first hours at sea on a submarine - the Dreadnought. My father, RMech. J. Berwyn 'Taff' Davies, served on her during 66-68, bringing me onboard for the Families Day, 31/03/68. Report, with sadness, that my father crossed the bar in June 2005. As for the old boat my last encounter was a brief visit to her when she was docked in Devonport in 1980, fate uncertain. Best Wishes and Regards Glenn 'G.O.' Davies

Comment: my dad is Darby. have to say, my memories of the Dreadnought are of being taken on board to see where dad slept.. and the smell of the place! I remember Nialls christning and everything being covered in t-towels so we couldnt see the top secret stuff.
